Digital X-Ray

Digital radiography, or Digital X-ray, is the latest technology used to take dental X-rays. This technique uses an electronic sensor instead of the conventional X-ray film to capture and store a digital image on a computer.

Images can be instantly viewed and enlarged, helping dentists and hygienists to detect and identify problems much more quickly and easily. Importantly, digital X-rays reduce radiation by 90% when compared with traditional dental X-rays.

Digital X-rays are an essential preventative diagnostic tool which gives valuable information not clearly visible during a routine dental examination. This information is used to safely and accurately detect hidden dental abnormalities and to design an appropriate treatment plan.
