Minimally Invasive Dentistry

Primarily, the objective of minimally invasive dentistry, (also known as micro dentistry), is to retain and conserve healthy tooth structure. It focuses on three key aspects; prevention, remineralization, and minimal dentist intervention.

Advances in dentistry science, education, training and methodology allows skilled dentists to perform the least amount of dentistry needed, while never removing more of the tooth structure than is required to restore teeth to their normal condition. Also, minimally invasive dentistry involves the use of technically-advanced, long-lasting materials that conserve maximum tooth structure so that the need for future repair work is reduced.
